FDA stops busload of seniors with medicines bought in Canada
This is the most venomous, hateful bunch of thugs our country has ever seen. I have long surpassed my capacity for cynicism and fury at this illegitimate *administration*. It's just beyond all words.

If we do not remove these people from office, it will be catastrophic.

A senior Food and Drug Administration official said Wednesday that it was unfortunate his agency stopped and inspected a busload of seniors returning from a medicine-buying trip to Canada.

"This is not consistent with our current practice," said John Taylor, the FDA's associate commissioner for regulatory affairs. "I would not expect it to happen again."

The FDA says it cannot guarantee the safety of medications purchased in Canada and has been increasing pressure on state and local programs that help people buy the lower-cost prescription drugs there .

The bus-stopping incident occurred last October but wasn't made public until Wednesday, when Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minn., wrote to the FDA to complain about it. Dayton, a millionaire, donates his entire Senate salary to pay for the bus trips from Minnesota, allowing seniors to take advantage of the much lower drug prices in Canada.

A Dayton spokeswoman, Chris Lisi, said the senator only recently became aware of the incident.

FDA terrorizes seniors (with a little help from the FBI)

Florida in-justice system terrorizes children
Is it a chain overreaction?
Amos Lee King Jr., a convicted killer facing execution, walked unshackled in a Pinellas courtroom last year as a judge heard an ultimately unsuccessful appeal to save his life. One floor below in juvenile court, 11- and 12-year-olds facing far less serious crimes stood shackled hand and foot as they appeared before another judge.

US Forest Services terrorizes Arkansas forests
"Forest Service plans and personnel have repeatedly stated that they would like to have the funding to burn over 100,000 acres annually in each national forest on short 2 to 4 or 5 to 7 year burning cycles. In conversations with Forest Service personnel they have expressly wished that they had the funding to burn as much as 150,000 acres. No one seems to have done the simple math to point out that, over a short period of years the Forest Service wants to intensively burn 500,000 to 700,000 acres in each forest. That is well over half of the entire Ozark National Forest and almost half of the Ouachita National Forest.”

And, finally, Michigan legislature terrorizes gay people

3. The drug companies need to do what everybody else in this country is doing
Getting pay cuts, though I wouldn't cry if they started losing their jobs. Like Carly Fiorina said, no American is entitled to a job.

Our society is so consumed by greed that it's deplorable. Hath not people remembered Timothy I 6:10 (Money is the root of all evil)?

5. No, it's not the money, Toad...
It's the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil.

Money is just a tool. It can take any form needed to do the job, it's a wonderul lubricant, and if you have enough of it, you can move mountains. Money in itself is wonderful stuff.

It's when you start to love it above all other things that the trouble begins....

4. Seniors on limited income..... appalling.....
This government is not for protecting its citizens.....the people they need to go after are the drug companies....and come up with a better way of helping seniors on limited budgets......

or we all need to move to other countries where they have a health plan and where you don't lose your home over a illness.... Nevada just passed a law saying if someone goes on medicaid....they put a lean on their home.......

The usa doesn't care about old people....just unborn fetus......really sick in the soul......God have mercy on us... for all the damage we are doing to people and nations in our empire.... corporate state........God help us...

6. "...not consistent with our CURRENT practice..."
Whoops...they let a glimpse of the FUTURE sneak out....

Why aren't the Canadiens coming across the border to buy OUR drugs? Don't they care enough about their own safety that the extra expense is worth it? Do they care so little about their children's health that they give them those dangerous Canadian drugs because they cost less?
<sarcasm>

8. All Shrub's administration is interested in protecting is
Profits. This reminds me of the story last week in Kentucky about search warrents issued to go through the computer system at a high school to search for music downloads.

I feel safer already knowing that the CEOs won't have to do without those ivory backscratchers this week.

12. y'know, i like your thinking :)
jailing seniors would go over 'really well' politically. i think you are giving a very good idea for dems to campaign:

'The War on Drugs Arrested My Grandma'

'Nursing Home or Crack House?'

'Crime Ring, Metamucil 5, Caught'

heh, they almost write themselves. heh, it's true, the left's weapons are humor and truth.
