Wanna DU a poll? Dems and receiving communion
http://www.turnto10.com/news/3085228/detail.html

Should the Catholic Church refuse communion to politicians who support abortion rights?

The poll is currently at 55% no. Let's see what we can do.

12. I was just about to ask the same question.
Are there any Catholics in the Bush Fraudministration? And if so, have their priests refused their communions? I believe the Pope DID condemn the invasion, so there is certainly grounds for refusing.

17. Tom Ridge is Catholic.
There are more, but I can't remember which ones.

I think you/re missing the point here. It's not up to the priests to deny them communion. If the Pope declares it a mortal sin, the individual Catholic cannot receive communion and not be damned by God. It's up to the individual to decide if they are going to remain faithful to their religion of not.
