Powell said: "You're Going to OWN 25,000,000 people." |
|
according to Bob Woodward on MTP-
Powell asked Bush besides invading Iraq; what is he going to do with 25,000,000 people? Wasn't Bush's public statements in the SOU Address the role of the US would be as liberator of Iraq? The US would be the catalyst for autonomy in Iraq?
The duplicitous relationship between The Bush WH, Congress and the People, is a Continental Divide away from the Truth. Isn't it incumbent upon Congressional members to get to the bottom of things by demanding a Special Prosecutor be appointed for a complete and total investigation of Woodward's charges? In the meantime, while Bush, Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld and Rove are being investigated, (and a new Attorney general appointed) shouldn't they be forced to step down until the investigation is complete?

1. I haven't gotten a copy of Woodward's book yet, |
|
but after hearing the ludicrous statements made by Bush regarding the invasion of Iraq. I'll be an owner of "Plan of Attack" before sundown today.

If this was a Democratic president, the screeching for his removal from office would sounding from the roof tops through out this country.
But if the rules don't allow it the Republicans change the rules. Forget about most of the Democrats in Congress, they don't have the courage that a fly hitting a windshield has. They are only concerned with keeping their seats.
The Democrats can't do it, the Republicans won't do it, so don't hold your breath. According to the intentions of the founders the three branches of government were supposed to be equal, with one branch not having the ability to control the other two.
But the founders never counted on political parties to hold power as they do today. And that's one of the biggest problems, personally I think that their should be a conservative, liberal, and moderate parties. This would allow for all voices to be heard, and might wrest control of the government from the hands of religious fanatics, gun nuts, tree huggers, and whatever other group might be out there trying to control the destiny of almost 300,000,000 people.
Just an idea.

I don't believe anyone of them would attempt a formidable dissent. In view of the late Senator Paul Wellstone's untimely accident after proving himself a champion of the people.
As far as I can see, our only recourse is an unrelenting hounding of congressional members demanding Impeachment of the Bush Gang. I'm at a loss to suggest any other way to spur them into action.
Interesting idea, yours- of a three party system rather than the homogenization of the two existing partys. hmmm...
