Book about Rome? searching for a title |
This book about Rome was suppose to be similar to a Howard Zinn type version of the Roman Empire. I am looking for the book to give to my daughter who will be traveling to Rome this summer. Does anyone remember hearing about this book recently?

3. a good fiction series ... |
The Roman mysteries by John Maddox Roberts. He looks at the transition between Republican and Imperial Rome, portraying a slide into imperialism -- interestingly he portrays Julius Caesar as a Bush-like character. (The books were written even before W ran for Texas governor.)
