Would you follow the order to launch nukes?

Could you be one of those in the bunker who turns the key and launches the nuclear weapon, not even knowing why, but merely following the order?

United States goes up in smoke from the nukes fired at us. presuming that dubya is out of office, then pre-emption will once again be off US policy. So the only way the firing of nukes will be ordered is if nukes are on their way over here.
