How large will the audience be?

Maybe the Sunday talk shows will pick up on it.

5. and this after the 'coffins' slapdown... WOW
"There is nothing inherently wrong with showing the American public pictures of our war dead coming home. It's the context... HOW those pictures are used... that's important.

"Sometimes, even the people who make the rules miss the point.

"There's certainly nothing wrong, for example, about showing the picture of a dead, New York fireman being carried up from Ground Zero on a flag-draped stretcher... unless, of course, you put that picture... in a political campaign ad."

(...silence... as that scene from the ad is played, followed by the endorsement, spoken by *: "I'm George W Bush, and I approve this message.")

7. the right-wing is screaming LIBRUL LIBRUL
I think it's showing respect for the dead. We have ignored these men for too long. Showing the numbers isn't enough. Reading their names is the least we should do.

Thumbs up to Koppel.

14. Koppel appears to be exceeding p-o'd
It appears that Ted is growing exceedingly p-o'd with this Misministration. Let us hope that he continues, and the trend grows.

8. At an average of 10 seconds per name...
...that will take him 50 minutes to read the names alone, not counting introduction or (gasp!) commercials...although I don't know how you would say "We'll have more names, after this from General Electric".

13. YEP-Big time!!
And so do many people...

"The Eyes That See Through the Lies" are still at work..pointing out that this will soon become a "Democratic War," instead of a Republican War.

21. And will he apologize for helping to cause the unnecessary
carnage? And will he also read the names of the 22,000+ Iraqis who have died defending their country from an unprovoked invasion?
