He related crude oil prices to American refinery output. He fell back on the old Republican argument totally ignoring the question. Neither Wolf or Russert pressed him on it.

8. On MTP, he said the Saudis would be happy to help us build... |
|
... some new refineries; he spoke specifically of Houston.
Did he spill the beans when he said that? Has the quid pro quo come full circle? I was always wondering what the Saudis were going to get out of their price-and-election-fixing scam...

4. I find it odd that Bandar is exposing himself this way. Seems he.. |
|
has placed a bullseye target on his back. The terrorists won't like this. Especially since it is now known that while SA publically said that they were against the Iraq invasion, they secretly aided the USA's invasion.

It's a bit funny this.
I'm sure the Saudi person on the street was very happy to hear that the Saudi government was in on the initial planning of the Iraq invasion.
Also that the Saudi government will be cutting the oil price in time for the u.s. election was probably received well too on the street.
Nice little McCain quote too today.
This looks like to me 'Regieme change' in Saudi without using the military.
Mostly Woodwards doing but Bandar does seem to be helping fan the flames, maybe he is just stupid possibly ?

to work out exactly who and what Bandar is working for.
You don't live in the u.s. for 20 years without some of your perspectives changing, and living at the centre of power too.
He goes to the cocktail parties, he's around, he's a Washington player and a senior 20 year one too, seen a lot, plenty of experience and knowledge to pass on. Near bush* family member and Iran/Contra.

7. Bandar's MTP interview was some of the most riveting TV I've ever seen. |
|
Watching him cough his way through his lies, nervously clicking his pen, becoming obviously annoyed that "Big Russ" wasn't respecting his regalness... it was a disgusting display, but it was also refreshing to watch Russert chew up one of the really, really bad guys for a change.
I couldn't look away.
