An idea for BBV activism:
If your precinct uses computers to count the votes in Nov, how about having people pass out homemade paper ballots in front of the precinct on election day? It wouldn't be candidate-specific political campaigning, really, so it should be exempt from restrictions on canvassing in front of polling places.

What you'd do is get a copy of the ballot before election day (the sample ballot), write some message at the top about not trusting computers to count your vote, photocopy it, have hundreds ready for election day, get volunteers to pass them out in front of polling places, and then watch the hilarity ensue as people take it inside and ask if they can fill that out instead of using the touch screen machines.

But don't wait until election day to get active on this issue. This is a last-resort protest in case we find ourselves in the position of having to vote on these machines.

3. It is a lot bigger mess then that
Anyone that has those .PDFs from that law firm in California can see this. These guys knowingly and willfully circumvented the laws of the state of California

The list of fixes is mind boggling. Obviously there is some thing deep down in the basic code they are trying to conceal.

Our best recourse at this point is to continue to apply pressure in California for the State Attorney to pursue criminal action against these crooks

7. We absolutely cannot let it get to that point.
I wonder how much time someone would get for walking into a building and sledgehammering all the electronic voting machines to pieces?

Maybe we could hire a great lawyer and try the insanity defense?

13. Sorry, I forget which BBV thread I'm on sometimes.
Of COURSE it is a great idea! I will certainly help make sure Arlington's count for Kerry isn't stolen. We are a solid Dem stronghold. I guess all the pukes live out in Great Falls in the million dollar mansions. Fairfax Co can HAVE them!
