Why was Saddam captured alive and not his sons? |
|
Why didn't they show his dead face to the media like his sons?

I'm sure they wanted Saddam dead. Having him alive complicates matters.

3. I think it is because like OSBL, |
|
They need to keep an enemy around to justify their actions. I'm not so sure they even captured him deliberately. The Kurds captured him and turned him over to us.I think his capture was an accident. They would rather have him on the run.Think how they could justify"collatoral damage"then!

4. One of the main reasons we went into Iraq was because of them |
|
Saddam was getting old and relatively "tame". But his sons were wild cards. Who knows what they might have done if they'd taken over from papa?
Still, if it had been me, I think I would not have opted for a full-scale invasion to go after them. But then I wouldn't have been after the oil as well.

5. I Still Think They Caught A Body Double |

The fact that he was caught and ID'd so quickly makes me suspicious that this is not the real Saddam.
