Poll question: Which investigation is most likely to toast Bush?
Edited on Sun Apr-25-04 08:41 PM by TruthIsAll

At least nine high-profile investigations have been triggered in the wake of a flood of Democratic demands targeting the Bush administration and the Republican-controlled Congress.

Which will draw the most blood?

1. This one is a long shot. but the suppression of scientific data.
As the Movie The day after tomorrow hits theaters Memorial Day weekend, the bU$h admin has already sent emails to NASA to deny any talks with reporters about the film.

3. The 700 million in Afghan --> Iraq funds
Edited on Sun Apr-25-04 08:46 PM by wuushew
That type of thing would piss of both fiscal conservatives and the rule of law types. Its not like the rest of his crimes which he claims ignorance of and being necessary to defend Amerikan freedom. If he needed money, he should of gone to the Congress. This is blatantly illegal.

9. Totally agree. This is the one thing that has some "meat"
Expressly talked about in the Constitution, should be a nice paper trail with dates and names and who authorized what, and it pisses off folks from both parties.

Hey, a trifecta!

5. Clinton would have been roasted a million times. . .
over on any of these charges. The problem is that their is no longer a special prosecuter anointed by the state. Therefore, they have complete and total immunity against any charges. After all of the hallow indictments Clinton and the incredibly obtuse charges levied against him. . .

Where is the outrage. . . ?

all the others are controlled by the radical neo-con excuse for a political party. They will smell no BushCo shit if they can possibly help it.

14. I agree: None of the Above
There is no story here. Move along.
I hate the media right now. I can't stand their pandering to this total idiot. I hate their obvious right-wing bias. I hate their decision to force the issues, instead of just reporting the damn news.

10. Afghan war funds mis appropriated
to prepare for a war in Iraq - with out Congressional oversight.

This is in clear Constitutional terms a violiation of the rules.

They own the media, most of these stories have been long buried or well spun, no one except people who stay up at 1:02am at night posting on DU care about them, or even pay attention enough to know anything about them.

19. I couldn't agree with you more, however...
I agree with Selwynn in that the media will bury all of it. Look at how they covered the march over the weekend, their obsession with Michael Jackson and John Kerry's military record. :wtf:

20. You're forgetting the Chenney case in SCOTUS tomorrow!
Hard to know for sure what's behind that, but as John Dean said in his book, all scandal needs secrecy.

My guess is, if the Court upholds the lower court ruling and forces Chenney to disclose the people he met with, it could be the beginning of the unraveling, the Plame investigation will nail it!

21. "OTHER": The $700 million appropriated illegally.....however,
other posters are probably correct that, due to the neocon/media/asskrotch covering for them, it may not be what "brings 'em down". The Plame case is already sure to have Rove doing a perp walk, but it doesn't look like it will reach bush.

Unless they charge Condi with lying to the 9/11 commission (which she did....and so did Asshcroch), that will get a pass, also.

Lying to the Congress & the nation about going to war in Iraq over WMD's SHOULD be what sends bush to jail, but I can't see it ever happening.

I hope SOMETHING BIG sends him, and the rest of the bush clan, away from politics in this country for three hundred years, minimum.

They SHOULD all be in jail.

:kick:
