4. Clark let the FBI determine if it was OK to let them leave.
It had to come from the White House. You would think anyone else would be outraged.

8. It came from woever's really in charge of this country under bush
During a lockdown on airtravel after a major attack(?), only the ultimate decision maker would have the power to ok it, right? And I'm not so sure that was the moron himself.

Yeah, the official story is that a group of mostly Suadis pulled off the attacks, and a plane-load of Saudis were allowed to leave the country shortly thereafter, during a time air travel was halted.

this should infuriate even awol's hard core supporters.

Its just effin' mind boggling.

6. Slick is not an adjective that I'd use to describe Bandar.............
I too just caught the Meet the Press rerun, and I thought that he was obviously ill prepared to lie as much as as he needed to to pull off the interview; clearly he was full of shit and I'm surprised Russert didn't laugh openly at much of what he said. Kinda reminded me of Bush.

Sickening.

9. Notice how he said: "I told the FBI" then cathces himself
And we told--asked the FBI that those people are scattered all over America and with tempers high at that time, rightly so, we were worried that somebody and emotions will hurt them.

MR. RUSSERT:  So who did you call for permission?

PRINCE BANDAR:  We didn't call for--we asked them...

MR. RUSSERT:  Who?

PRINCE BANDAR:  ...is it possible?  The FBI.

MR. RUSSERT:  You called the FBI?

PRINCE BANDAR:  Yes.

MR. RUSSERT:  And they gave permission?

10. Wouldn't anyone else have been placed in Protective Custody?
-- at least until the proper authorities could debrief them?

Anyone, that is, who didn't have a whole lot of money and a friendship with the Bush family.

11. The prince tried to make it sound like
these planes were not flying before commercial flights resumed, but they flew on Sept 12 and Sept 13 when no other planes except military planes were flying.
