My Kerry Defense Against Bush's "Medal" Attack
"For the second time in 40 years, Mr. Bush has decided to let someone else fight in his stead, namely the ill-informed Karen Hughes. I stand by my service for this country AND my criticism of the mistakes we've made during that service--even if the language and actions of that criticism may have occasionally been affected by the overheated emotion of youth. If Mr. Bush wants to debate my miitary record, I urge him on...instead of leaving yet another key battle to surrogates. I'd expect only that level of courage from a "fellow" veteran.

4. Yep, that'll do it... and while you're at it, debate each others records.
and being the gentleman that you are, Mr. * can go first.

5. Their strategy is based on spite...

As the angle now is to destroy Kerry's most glowing strong point (in comparison to Chimpy), namely his sterling military record and things attached to it. This seems to be being done out of anger over the severe wounding of the boy king's alleged strong point, namely his ability to use September 11th (and it's images) as a campaign issue.

Sadly for the brush-clearer, the Kerry record is a lot more tangible and more positively documented than dumbass' checekered record from August 6th onward.

6. I see it based on "fear"...
Bush's record is an abomination.

If silence is allowed to linger in the hall too long someone is bound to ask: "What about your record Mr. *?"

Thus, the reason for all the *noise*.

11. Of course Bush has medals, c'mon.
As a matter of fact, he got an "I'm A Big Boy!" medal from the dentist in Alabama.

8. Hiding behind Karen's skirt
And Babs' skirt, and Laura's and Torie Clark's and Condi's... seems Georgie always sends the womenfolk out to take the heat for him.

9. Next week, they'll have 6th graders questioning Kerry's patriotism.
They really are trying to besmirch his record and I find this truly disgusting. The collective chickenhawks who never served trying to denigrate an authntic American military hero...who are the real Americans here?

13. Bush didn't throw his medals away.....
He didn't have any. He didn't have a Silver Star to throw away. He didn't have any Purple Hearts to dispense with...He didn't have a CIB...He didn't even have a Vietnam campaign ribbon. Yet, the coward that he is, he sends out surrogates to criticize John Kerry for having the backbone to criticize his government when they were not doing right.

George Bush, Jr took his little #2 pencil and marked in the block that he did not wish to serve overseas. The Vietnam war was still going on. The country needed him. Yet, he decided he could do more for his country in the Texas National Guard, and indulging in drinking binges on the weekends. Reportedly, he didn't even finish his duty in the National Guard. He went AWOL.

Nonetheless, he thinks it is OK for him to criticize John Kerry for a "youthful indiscretion" which nowhere matches those of his own. What does this say about George W Bush? As a fellow Vietnam veteran, it tells me that what he did to stay out of service is not as bad as what he does now to discredit those that defended he and his family during that tumultuous time. He should be ashamed but he doesn't know hte word.
