Its David vs GoWush. W with all his fire power and John with but a single sling and 5 stones from the nearest river.

Point is: Kerry needs help. It would be nice if all of the major Dems come forward in an organized manner to tout our Champion, make him look good.

He carries our Flag and our People must help with the Battle

1. I've said the same thing
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 12:48 AM by ugarte
He not only needs help, he needs a vice president who can come out swinging. Kerry is a very nuanced kind of guy--a style which served him well in the genteel Senate. But Presidential politics are hardball.

5. Yup, John has sharpened his style what with the many debates
but he seems SO alone. I can hardly wait for the VP to be revealed. I am hoping for any of the final 4.

2. Vice President will help
When Kerry names his VP it will help in two ways. First, it will create temporary publicity because it is news. Second, he will have a second person to who will be able to campaign hard.

I think the sooner Kerry names his VP, the better.

10. LOL, I almost forgot about that line. The Bush guys are spending 50
million per month with hardly any bumps in the polls. The PR firms are going ballistic with pressure....as evidenced by extreme negativity. They are not able to go Poz as the Prez has not done anything Poz at all.

And so, Kerry is letting them did the hole deeper. I love it.

Clark, Dean, Edwards. Seems some Senators other than Kennedy, and some Congressmen, too, could do more --

19. I know -- GD is full of discussions about the problem of media..
but I'm afraid we lack enough time, and enough power, to fight it. But I try in an individual way, as are others, and maybe we can have some effect. I've also been wondering if MoveOn could somehow use its numbers and funding to, at least, call attention to the problem --

22. Perhaps if we look for the root cause of why the media leans Right
Money has to be one of the reasons. Influence another. and ownership of the particular newspaper, radio, TV station, etc.

28. Corporate control of media is an enormous factor --
NBC, for example, is nothing like the news organization it was in the pre-GE days.

30. I agree, the media has this power. You would think they would take this
responsibility and use it judiciously, objectively, and benevolently.

The Compass needs fixing? Where do we Humans want to go and how do we wish to arrive there?.... the absence of the big picture reveals an innate selfishness not so hidden.

It's going to be tough when the right wing controls the entire mainstream U.S. media.

16. Hubert, the Bushies/Fundies have pissed off the Women of America
The Million Mom March must of sent shivers through the Bushista Camp. Hillary was there with them yesterday and she rocked the crowd. All the speakers did.

They see Roe Wade Threatened. "Take your hands off MY BODY" was the call of the day. Bush is toast and they know it.

Sleeping at the wheel? Bush slept at the wheel during his Aug 6 meeting in 2001 when he got the word Osama was coming to America. He didn't warn us common folk but his buddies all flew private jets since? Yeah, he slept and let the rat bastards in by not sounding the alarm. "Watch my drive"

20. It would be great wouldn't it.
The Democrats still do not seem to have their shit together, I guess I'd have to blame it one a failed leadership structure. The extreme right has everyone on the same (flawed) page and they stick together whether they are wrong or totally wrong.

25. For the Pubs to be on the same page thru out reveals organization
and focus. Its also a sign of a common source of talking points/direction/philosophy/etc. Deeper Roots. They are "Controlled".

The Dems being more fragmented reveals very little control, more purity, more objectivity. I would prefer this mode but in terms of power.... the controlled group has it. The Dems need to be impassioned to overcome their hurdle of fragmentation.

Seeing as, throughout the entirety of human existance, 8 trillion people have not existed yet. So even if every human who ever existed supported Bush, he wouldn't have that many supporters.

24. More REALLY BAD media communications work from DNC. n/t
Republicans know their message is shit, so they wisely compensate for that by pouring millions into repeating the message over and over and over while spraying electronic deodorizer to de-stench the atmosphere.

Dems do nothing, by comparison.

propaganda in the Pub Party is escalating to levels of desperation.

Dems more or less stick to the truth and avoid PsyOps brainwashing.

that Bush hides behind is very troubling. Then to distract, they mention Kerrys lack of smarts and courage. "He cannot be trusted to run the Country in a crisis". WTF ?????

All this macho talk but when it was their turn.....it was cut and run ... friggen coward chicken hawks.
