How Many Ribbons and How Many Medals did Bush receive
during the Vietnam War?

That's the only question that needs to be asked now.

1. Technically, correct me if I'm wrong...
But if any of the units that * served in recieved any unit citations for 'xyz' * could technically wear the ribbon, correct?

As far as I'm concerned, he is a disgrace to the military.

7. Only while serving in that particular unit
I'm sure he got the National Defense medal which every single GI receives right after boot camp and I'm sure he received some qualification awards, Like Marksman or sharpshooter and some aviation certification (wings) etc. Actual medals, I don't see how it would be possible. If the unit he was in received a Presidential Unit Citation then he would be authorized to wear that award as long as he was in that unit only.

11. The new adds showing footage of our soldiers
and then knocking Kerry AGAIN needs to be knocked down and fast. They should use the same footage and use the the assholes DUI record and the vice assholes dui records and their draft deferments and end up with the quote "Kerry was there, where were they"? and "who knows better? Kerry or the "drunks"? well I guess they can't go that far but they certainly have room to go very very negative.

16. Move On is On It
Today, we're launching a new 60-second ad that compares Kerry's record of courageous service in Vietnam with Bush's early departure from the National Guard. The ad concludes: "This election is about character. It's between John Kerry, who left no man behind... and George W. Bush, who simply left." This is the first ad since the launch of our 50 for the Future campaign, and we need your help to get it on the air.

Watch the ad and contribute now at:
https://www.moveonpac.org/donate/warrecord.html?id=2728-611991-tK4eO2poUiMk3fSXfz0diA

Recently released military documents from both camps highlight the differences between the two men. George Bush, then in the National Guard, checked a box "do not volunteer for overseas."3 Then he failed to show up for a required physical, was grounded from flying, and didn't show up for several months before leaving eight months early for Harvard Business School.4

In contrast, in a letter to his Navy personnel officer, Kerry wrote "I request duty in Vietnam."5 Over the course of that service, for "brave action, bold initiative and unwavering devotion to duty,"6 he was awarded the Bronze Star and Silver Star medals. He also earned not one but three Purple Hearts, for being injured in service to our country.7

10. Exactly. Why isn't Kerry responding to these ridiculous questions
about medals when all he has to say is "To be fair, why hasn't this question been posed to the pResident?

They are such thugs and hypocrites! This is the best they can do? There is so much "dirt" on * - just look at the bestsellers at NYT.

14. Yes, he should ask that caledesi, but
he should then also ask if they are prepared to call each and every war vet in on their medals, including Dubya's father, George Herbert. Are they prepared to call in Bob Dole?

These questions are an insult to all war vets. It's an insult to me, and I'm not one.

I saw a film a couple of years ago about Bush 41 and his service, I don't remember what it was, I think it was his survival opposed to others he was with that didn't survive - but I don't really remember, so I can't be sure. I do remember wondering at the time, if there was something fishy to it, but I never voclaized it out of respect.

If they want to get dirty on Kerry, they best be careful not to alienate the other vets who sacrificed themselves during time of war, especially when they have the records or lack of dubious dubya.

22. Here's Kerry's response
"This comes from a president who can't even show or prove that he showed up for duty in the National Guard," Kerry said Monday during an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America." "And I'm not going to stand for it."

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=694&ncid=703&e=1&u=/ap/20040426/ap_on_el_pr/kerry_medals

Just because the media doesn't cover it, doesn't mean that Kerry hasn't responded.
