I'm home sick today, and was channel surfing.

I came across Wolf and Candy talking about the Dems via Terry Mac going on the offensive about Cheney's upcoming media barrage against Kerry.

Wolf interjected in the conversation that Bush and Cheney may be treading in dangerous territory, as there are so many unanswered questions about *'s own military service and Cheney's many deferments.

He also bought up the fact that Cheney's voting record is also fair game as the * gang has been combing Kerry's looking for anything that Kerry voted against to fit the "weak on defense" angle.

I'm shocked!!!

I can't believe ole Wolfie was bring up these issues.

Maybe our emails to CNN did so some good.

What do you think?

2. Many of us singled out Wolf in our emails.
The threat of boycotting their sponsors could have helped! I haven't watched CNN since I sent the email, and I made a list f sponsors to avoid when shopping and stuck it on the fridge!

but it was so out of character for him.

He also bought up three events this week that the Bush camp is particularly worried about:

-- Cheney/Bush testifying before 9/11 commission. Says it's hard for * to project the image of a strong leader by insisting Cheney testify with him.

-- Supreme Court decision about Cheney's Energy Task Force Papers.

-- This weekend marks the anniversary of the "Mission Accomplished" fiasco.

11. We need to keep the emails pouring in
We may not be able to make CNN into DU Lite, but if we can keep them fair and balanced, I'd say that would be pretty good.

13. I'm too pissed off at CNN to watch anymore.........
300,000 marched yesterday..........my ass!

Any "news" outlet that didn't report more than a million people marching at the US Capitol yesterday is guilty of skewing the news to cover-up the widespread dis-content with the direction this country is taking under the current administration.

Putting the count at "thousands", or even "hundreds of thousands", may be technically accurate, but certainly doesn't tell the real story. The whole idea of a protest march is to show just how many people are pissed of enough to participate in a mass show of dis-approval.

The whores are in for a big shock in November.

22. march numbers
range from 300,000 to 1,100,000. even npr had the number at 500,000, which i believe to be a false, too-low number. why are the whores so afraid to publish the real numbers? because 1,000,000 anti bush women in one place makes their bogus pro-bush poll numbers look ridiculous? i really flippin hate the media these days. they make my blood boil even more than the liars they're lying for.

16. Wolfie whoring down, but GMA and Schneider up.
That Good Morning America report about Kerry's medals vs. ribbons bullshit was stunningly vacuous and empty. I was glad to see Kerry come out firing with both barrels on this stupid issue.

That said, the opening tag line infuriated me. Something to the effect of, "will comments made by Kerry in a 1971 interview derail his candidacy?"

Then there was a Bill Schneider report I heard last night on Headline News, about... NASCAR DADS. Can you believe this meme has come back again?

And in a real shock, the three NASCAR dads they interviewed said that they were voting for George W. Bush. That gave Schneider an excuse to heap praise on the hard-working Bush campaign in identifying a key demographic and appealing to their socially-conservative, common-man economic values.

Long story short: Schneider did a fine job of making it sound as if the NASCAR vote was "in play," but that Bush is running away with it through shrewd campaigning. The Sheeple will believe him.

The NASCAR vote is about as much up for grabs as the urban African-American vote. Perhaps Kerry should start planting that meme in the media? I can see it now:

"Kerry has done a spectacular job of appealing to the black demographic- a constituency that could singlehandedly decide the 2004 election!" (insert breathless excitement here)

:nuke:

19. Wolf had ended the Hughes interview, when his earpiece...
(producer) must have interrupted with a comment for Karen. She had just savaged Kerry's military service, and, after signing off with her, Wolf abruptly pointed out that defenders of Senator Kerry would point to questions about Bush's service record. I thought at the time that it was possible our communications may have been heard. Wolf, of course, had already drawn the scorn of Krugman in a NYT op-ed -- and now a deluge of Democrats. Maybe we can make a difference.

20. Typical whore/lazy journalist tactic: "Unanswered questions..."
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 12:32 PM by DemLikr
Well, why don't you get off your fat fucking lazy overpaid ass and find the ANSWERS, Wolfie?! The "answers" have been out here laying in plain view for years...sheesh.

But then, that would would require actual reporting and footwork, rather than awaiting the latest email press release from the RNC.

i see whatcher sayin'. i think the top three propaganda networks present just enough of the liberal side to prove to us that they are fair and balanced, which they ain't. then they can point to a tape of wolfie bringing up an issue that isn't an obvious bush asskiss.

just my brain damaged opinion
