April '04 fatalities exceed Ground Combat Phase. |
|
According to the data from lunaville.org, April fatalities have sadly exceeded those of the entire ground combat phase of the war!
Keep this in mind, the next time the propagandist claim that this is just an isolated problem in an otherwise calm country. This isolated problem has become deadlier than the original war.
Had the war planners taken the time to prepare proper post-war plans, perhaps our soldiers and the peoples of Iraq would not now be in this tragic situation.

1. The entire idea of invading and conquering Iraq was |
|
misguided and a neo-con ideologue's whacked out dream.
Countries do not like to be invaded and occupied. It doesn't work, unless there is all out war and the vanquished concede formally and agree to terms of surrender.
This whole silly delusional thing is crap, and somehow complaining because we didn't "do it correctly" (which unfortunately is the Dem position) would be downright silly, if it weren't so tragic.

2. Why does George W Bush still think he can continue... |
|
...this war in Iraq? He accomplished all of the objectives he requested from congress and the American people for his authority to wage war on Iraq. We invaded, we deposed the regime, we discovered no WMDs, we eliminated the Saddam threat by destroying his top advisers, killing his sons and capturing Saddam, who will now be brought to trial. That was ALL Bush had authority to do!!! If he wishes to continue this war, I believe he has to come back to congress and the people for authorization. His job now should be to get our troops out ASAP and let the Iraqis start governing and rebuilding their nation. Enough is enough.
