Was there a spike in XM subscribers when AA launched? |
|
Does anybody know if there was a spike in new subscribers to XM satellite radio when the new Air America liberal talk radio network launched on March 31? I bought a new XM system for my car on that very day and had it installed and the service started on the next day. I am hoping that XM enjoyed a HUGE increase in their subscribers at that time, because that will wreak havoc on the right wingers' claim that liberal talk radio "won't work." I love Randi Rhodes and Janeane Garofalo, and Al Franken's okay too, and I was already listening to my other favorite, Thom Hartmann, on Sirius.

1. Sirius has a better AAR feed. |
|
it's more lefty in general (even before carrying AAR) and is not part owned by clearchannel
so I hope that Sirius is spiking harder...

2. I dont know about then |
|
-But I bought my wife a Delphi Roady for Christmas, and apparently they had a huge spike around the holidays, something like 23,000 new subscribers. I remember it was impossible to register online. They finally got over 1 million subscribers, so I think the demand was there for a left-wing talk channel.

4. pick up the phone. Call them. Find out. |
|
If they did, send the info to AA, have them do a press release and try to get it reported by the media.
We have to take our media back.
