Thank you Sen. Byrd and Rep. Obey |
|
In the wake of Woodward's allegations that $700 million earmarked for the war on terrorism was spent preparing for a war against Iraq, Sen. Byrd and Rep. Obey -- the top Democrats on the appropriations committees -- sent a letter to President Bush today demanding an accounting of how the $40 billion emergency 9-11 funding was spent. The letter also asserts the White House hasn't properly reported to Congress on spending from the fund as required by law.

5. I'm thrilled Obey has plans to stick around for 10 more. We need him |

He doesn't stand in the front of the pack very often, but if someone does something to piss him off, they will seriously regret it. That man has a way with words when it comes to taking people down a notch and he won't pull any punches.
