I'm FIRMLY in Kerry's camp now
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 06:19 PM by newsguyatl
i'm sorry to start a somewhat vanity thread, but i must say, kerry has really impressed me with his handling of the medals flap. i'm now FIRMLY behind him. ((i supported him before today obviously, just not with as much conviction))

he was PHENOMENAL on this morning's 'good morning america' when being questioned (attacked?) by the rnc's new head, charlie gibson... he would NOT back down... he spoke with passion, vehemence and clarity. he said "i'm not gonna stand for this kind of attack." calling it out for what it was, a political, rnc-orchestrated attack. he said how dare this administration criticize HIM when bush's guard service is still in question, and the others didn't even SERVE.

it's reported that after the int'v this morning, he said "geez are they working for the rnc now?" referring to abc... call me crazy, but i highly doubt this was UNintentional ;-) good on him.

so kudos to you john kerry. stay strong and determined... speak your mind, fight, and don't back down to these punks... you have me now, and i'm sure if you keep this up, you'll have other former deanies who have yet to committ. we really like these qualities in a leader ;-)

7. I'm with you!
I got pissed off yesterday, but I realized my mistake, apoligized for the shitstorm I caused, and I'm now back in the fold. It's good to be back.

2. But Bush is defining the agenda...
the BALLS of it all is that there has been a ton more scrutiny of Kerry, someone who served his time in the most dangerous place then there ever was on Bush, who provided a fucking dental record...may I repeat, HIS FUCKING DENTAL RECORDS, and BOOM, that was that!!

AAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! (my imitation of a Howard Dean scream!)

6. you're right
for now he is, and kerry camp CANNOT let this happen, or he WILL lose.

my biggest admiration in the dean camp was that they (and he) set the agenda... i remember when kerry announced his candidacy against an air carrier backdrop... i was sickened... but i think he's learned a lot from camp dean and i have faith that he will use it... but for now, with the attacks coming from bushco. the best thing to do is answer them, answer them swiftly and with conviction... that's what he did today...

but you're right, he CANNOT and MUST NOT allow bushco. to set the agenda...

5. Great!
I'm a Deanie-turned-Clarkie-but-accepted-Kerry. The more I see Kerry fight, the more I like him. If he keeps this up, he just might make it.

9. ABC pays Kerry back for the ~RNC toadies~ comment
ABC News just paid Kerry back for the RNC comment.

They had MUCH more criticism of Kerry than Bush/Cheney during tonight's ABC News, with considerably more emotional video associated with the slamming of Kerry, and then finished the Kerry segment with the "god, they're doing the work of the Republican National Committee" clip.

And they only showed the last few seconds of the MoveOn.org ad.

16. yes, but...
Yeah, *I* liked it too, but Joe & Jane Six-Pack may view it negatively.

But then... who gives a f___. This election won't be decided by a little phrase like that. It *was* good to see Kerry with his dander up; they need to be on the offensive, though; instead of defending. Gotta get the mo.
