9. I love them. But I game them up because of something I read in
DU a while back. They are repugs and donate to repugs only, I think.

3. hate is probably too strong a word
But they certainly aren't very good, are they? I hate it when you go somewhere for breakfast and it turns out the breakfast is doughnuts but it's supposed to be OK because it's Krispy Kreme. I feel like I just ate a basketball or something. If we're going to have a cholesterol fest, what's wrong with good old-fashioned bacon and eggs???

6. I have no desire to eat Krispy Kreme Donuts. I have a local chain...
that makes excellent donuts and I give my business to them.

I loathe Krispy Kremes. They make me queasy. Nothing but sugar & lard.

And this is considered sacrilege in Atlanta.

12. I can understand why someone wouldn't like krispy kreme
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 08:28 PM by quinnox
I have had them a couple times, and while I liked them they are really rich tasting, and it's obvious filled with sugar.

17. Small chain in Louisiana...

there may only be a few...it's like the Holy Grail of doughnuts...

Lake Charles, Louisiana is where you find em.

I am not kidding about these...anyone who has ever had a fresh one has fallen in love.

16. I never could see the attraction...
and I'm not that big on Dunkin Donuts, either. Sugar and a lot of chemicals in both of them. bleccchhhh....

Besides, I've noticed the Krispy Kremes look just a little too perfect lately. Machine-made, no doubt.

besides a few bakeries and independant donut shops, some 7-11's around here have the best donuts. Get 'em from local bakeries.

(Just finished the last of two-boxes-for-$5 Entenmann's chocolate covered yellow donuts.)
