4. It was but then one of the segments was about the Kerry medal flap.
It's pointless to say it's irrelevant and then run a story about it.

5. You're right, but it was Candy Cruller reporting...
I think Aaron was kind of giving a heads up before the audience had to endure more bullshit about the chicken hawks blasting Kerry's medal tossing.

6. Yes...he was great...
Edited on Mon Apr-26-04 09:46 PM by berner59
He said...in regards to both sides..."stop it...call it a tie and move on...nothing will get accomplished and there are too many important issues at hand..."

go Aaron!!

They showed a small clip of Gibson on GMA this morning, which I missed... wow - Gibson was WAY out of line!!

Aaron doing a piece now - reported by him...pretty pro-Kerry so far...guess Aaron's job is on the line now...

9. I don't call
the difference between a bona fide War HERO and a fucking DESERTER some kind of "tie" that we need to move beyond..

that's how the right wing wins.. they put so much poop in the soup that no one wants to touch it anymore..

and everyone starves.

29. It's true. Just a giant time waster for the GOP, so no one looks at their
criminal behavior again. Bush's military records have been fixed, and if they haven't the media will say they are fine, fine, fine...

11. Gibson was more than out of line
he owes Kerry an apology. Everything Kerry said was true. That medals and ribbons are used interchangably. Gibson was yelling and rude and interupting. What gets me is that the same years Kerry was in Vietnam were the very same years Gibson spent in school on a draft deferrment. He never served himself. We have to call the media on the carpet when they do this, or we are going to lose this thing.

17. I emailed Gibson
about his remarks. He was totally over the line. What a NON-ISSUE. Here I sit worried if I will be able to continue to afford these GAS HIKES and Gibson is worried about which side of the fence Kerry threw his medals, ribbons or buggers over. Give me a break...geeze..

13. It just did
his piece on Veteran Kerry was very positive - I'm smiling from ear to ear. Basically, Kerry didn't worry about his future political career, he stood up for what he thought was right - the most courageous thing he could have done. "History has proven John Kerry was right".

Do tell...or is it a gut thought... Aaron said they'll cover Kerry the sailor in the coming week... Maybe Aaron has had enough...I've always thought he was a bit more fair...was he always like this or just because he seems a tiny bit more fair - it seems huge.

Takes real guts to jump on the train leaving the station. Will we get an apology for shoddy journalism? Sloppy reporting? Jingoistic propaganda?

22. So what happened?
Did 800,000+ women marching on Washington make the execs wake up to the fact, that there is a huge audience out there, that no one is serving anymore?

25. You made my computer burp, newsguyatl!!
I was writing that I would start to watch CNN again when Wolfie and Candy are replaced, and my computer just DIED.

Is it trying to tell me something, like give Aaron a chance? AGAIN, after his disgusting war-run-up. He could have been more sarcastic about Sharpton, Kucinich campaigns and the war if he tried, I guess.

that he is a good guy. He is so boring when ever I tune in that he puts me to sleep. It is something about his voice that is a lullaby to me.

I better wake up for Aaron now.

21. I've Watched Aaron Brown Since He Was on "World News Tonight"
with Lisa McRee. I have no idea if it's still on ABC, but I know Anderson Cooper did it when Bronm left. Anyway, I've always liked him. He's not perfect, but he does do a better job than most. Though it may sound that way, I'm not really damning him with faint praise.

18. Except for the 'tie' part he was right on
I think Aaron is saying we have heard the last the anti-war Kerry bashing on News Night. Of course, we had to endure a couple of segments on it tonight.

The implication is "how screwed up is it to hear from an avoider (Cheney) and AWOLer (Bush) degrade a war hero?"

31. Comparing Kerry to Bush vis-a-vis Viet Nam is a draw?????
I think we now see why Bush is attacking Kerry a la "and what did he do with those medals...". He wants his National Guard record off the table.
