Is this the Most Corrupt, Scandal-Ridden Administration in US History?
What is the status of the still unresolved BushCO scandals and investigations?

I know the PLAME Case is due to surface again. Last weekend on the talking heads somebody said that not only are they looking at those who outed Plame, but also those who lied about it afterward.

The Cheney ENERGY Panel case is still pending - the one he went duckhunting with Scalia about.

The 9/11 Commission hears Bush and Cheney on Thursdays - the mother of all crime investigations.

What else? There's a case in England that relates to Cheney/Halliburton, I think. What is that?

Has anyone here seen a more corrupt administration in their lifetime?

2. Will French indict Dick Cheney? The Nation.
http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20040112&s=ireland

Yet another sordid chapter in the murky annals of Halliburton might well lead to the indictment of Dick Cheney by a French court on charges of bribery, money-laundering and misuse of corporate assets.

At the heart of the matter is a $6 billion gas liquification factory built in Nigeria on behalf of oil mammoth Shell by Halliburton--the company Cheney headed before becoming Vice President--in partnership with a large French petroengineering company, Technip. Nigeria has been rated by the anticorruption watchdog Transparency International as the second-most corrupt country in the world, surpassed only by Bangladesh.

16. How?
Follow the money-
don't forget, MLK shut down a A WHOLE town with
an economic boycott-
question is-
Are 'murikkkans willing to go without their toys
for a while-
unfortunately, not likely.
Withdrawal of economic support could
put aserious dent in their party plans,
but it is ever so unlikely.
New Zealand anyone?

9. Interesting that Le Figaro first broke this story in December
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 12:41 AM by downstairsparts
Considering that the daily newspaper Le Figaro was owned by the Carlyle Group who may have finally unloaded it last year, does anybody know or recall?

on edit: I'm referring to NYC's link to the Nation story: Will French Indite Cheney?

That lovely phrase "slush funds" is found in this article. Everybody should read it.

10. Well, Reagan and Nixon had people going to jail constantly.
You can argue that the system is so perfectly corrupt now that no one will ever go to jail, and I would agree with you.......

But corruption is mostly judged on prosecutions and I ain't seen any.

14. In my lifetime I've seen a similar group during the 12 years of Bush Sr.
Same faces in this administration but now they are older and even more vituperative. They have 8 years of good policy to destroy in a short time.

Rwanda or Somalia.

I feel as you do.
I have absolutely HAD it with this POS crap shoot in Iraq. The lies, the secret meetings, the mockery in our House and Senate.

Its hard to know where to start with dick & george. Pick any subject and there's a damn corruption attached to it somewhere.

I'm sick of the forgiving press we have on our TV and Radio.
I want to hear SOMEONE with some power stand up and fuckin point out the truth about dick & george.

In bed with the Saudi govt. Hala-fuckin-lujia.

NOWHERE in all those major news stations do I hear a daily running list of all the corruption and chaos these two losers have cost this world.
We HAD a balanced budget in this Country, a Social Security system that could have been useful and the world did NOT HATE us. We could travel freely outside our borders and be proud to say we were Americans.
Thousands of innocent civilians have lost their lives for this joke of an administration, in the USA and the Middle East.
We HAD a military that could easily have secured our own borders without losing a single one of them.

Iraq, as of today, is a disaster. I feel sorry for those people.
Our troops are stuck in a nightmare they will be lucky to escape alive.

Anyone who praises the pipe dreams of dick & george are insane, and
as corrupt as those two dumb fucks in the White House.

I am absolutely sickened by the loss of our democracy at the hands of the dick & george puppet show. Liars.
They are Liars.

They both need to get off the campaign trail and get back to D.C. and fix the chaos they've created by their greed and insanity.

I cannot understand WHO in their right mind would ever want 4 more years of this madness.
dick & george are an embarassment to the USA and a danger to our world.

18. As far as corrupt and scandal-ridden go...
it's a contender. The MOST corrupt, though? Hard to say. Look at what happened in the Grant, Harding, and Nixon administrations.

20. This WOULD be the most corrupt administration...
if it ever got honestly investigated.

Millions of dollars and years of feverish searching into Clinton's life turned up a single blue dress.

Devote half that amount of time, money, and passion to investigating the Bush Family Evil Empire and I'm convinced you will find every crime up to and including murder.
