C-Span callers kicking ass big time on John Kerry Vietnam issue
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 06:27 AM by JI7
the question is whether kerry's medals issue is relevant. the calls are on 2 lines. yes or no. and both lines have callers defending kerry and telling the truth about the chimp. the ones who say it does matter say it matters because it shows the chimp has no medals and other similar things. the ones who say it doesn't matter say it doesn't because chimp has no medals himself and has no right to attack kerry on it. i love it.

2. couple of right wing callers now
some idiot woman called saying Clinton didn't serve. well idiot, clinton never ran as a war hero and attacked other peoples military records.

some stupid man claiming to be vietnam vet protester who is ashamed of it. and bringing up how tim mcveigh was a war hero also and how what you do after that matters. well, mcveigh blew up a bunch of innocent people when he came back, and john kerry came back and tried to stop a war . and this fool can't see the difference.

3. Fantastic this morning - tried
to get thru and ask American's how they will feel a couple of years from now when someone questions your son or daughter (who has no arms or legs)about their medals. Did you deserve that - shouldn't you have given up something else?

4. Did you hear the one
caller who after trashing Kerry and throwing in a Clinton bash, made this outrageous statement: "So for all the Democrats who think service matters, HAHH!" She was of course referring to the suburb leadership we have now(/sarcasm), but to say that service doesn't matter coming from chicken-hawks speaks volumes on how they really feel about the troops.

6. it sure does, Clinton never did anything like that
Clinton always respected those who served. of course he said one doesn't have to have military service to be president which i agree with. but service does matter when someone who didn't serve is running as a war hero and attacking a guy who actually did serve. clinton never ran as a war hero, he never attacked the military service of his opponents and in fact praised them.

5. It was overwhelming and I loved the guy who said he is a republican
and was just disgusted with attacking a real war hero vet, etc. Oh, let this get going around the Veterans halls today. Then throw in how they treated Max and McCain. This is starting to reveal their snibbling, coward character.

7. Don't forget Wes Clark - they said
he was crazy - made fun of his military service.
