Converts

I think if we can all get at least 3 people who either wouldn't vote, or voted republican, to vote dem, we will have a landslide in 2004. I know I've already converted at least 5 people. What do you think?

1. That's certainly true. But converting people is hardest of all,

much harder than voter registration among the half of Dem/Indeps who don't vote, isn't it?

5. It's a no brainer

do both and while you're at it drive people to the polls on election day and or for early voting if your state allows it.

That makes it more of a challenge. Which in turn makes it much more satisfying. But to even get the people who are not voting to do so helps as much.

3. I disagree.

I don't think we should be wasting effort on trying to convert the Bushites. We should be focusing on people who didn't vote at all in 2000.

Most Bush people I've met are so deep in the Kool-Aid that it's just best to let them vote for their idiot prince and concentrate on people we can actually get through to.

6. good idea but how do you stop from throttling them first..

I get to the point were i find it so difficult to discuss anything with such blinkered fools..you need the patience of a Saint.

One should think of the greater cause I suppose.

7. I know the feeling

I don't even try with the die hard freepers. Most moderate intelligent folks will debate issues and facts. Those are the ones I like to engage. Otherwise it is like jousting at windmills.

I have given up with my parents. I don't think they want to admit they were wrong. Oh well, I have countered their votes.
