3. Yes, saw the piece read this a.m. on C-Span,. Excellent.

This guy was literally standing right next to Kerry when the 'ribbons' were thrown and talked about how disabled vets were concerned that they couldn't get their medals and ribbons flung over the fence so handed them to Kerry to help them. He talked about how he could grasp all in one fist--thus these were ribbons and not medals, etc. Now Georgie wouldn't have had to worry about chucking them over the fence, would he----he didn't have any and was too goddamn drunk and on coke to even find the fence!!!!!!!!

I watched Kerry argue for the less dramatic approach and lose.

People like Joe Scarborough et al just ignore refutations like this. Remember the RNC's editing job on General Clark's testimony, designed to distort his words into support for the war? Many of us emailed the full testimony with Perle's own characterization of it as anti-war, yet the talking heads continued night after night to say that Clark's testimony showed support for the war...

So I'll be interested to see how artfully they completely ignore Oliphant's column today, acting as if they'd never seen nor heard of it no matter how many of us forward it around to them. They'll just continue on with the "flap."
