Why is it wrong to criticize anything kerry does in here?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x1478217

I gave some constructive criticism, as well as praise in my posts on this thread and before I knew it, I was being called a flat out REPUKE. My point is that people like us really aren't going to decide the election and that I'm worried about Kerry's aggressivness because I feel bush is defining him and it's working. Not working on me of course, but certainly working on the war-mongering american people.

Look at Skoooo, Generator, Snogerra, and Yardwork..at one point Snogerra says 'don't believe any poll ever' then Yardwork cites polls to prove that bush isn't in the lead? Aren't we on the same team?\

2. Because...
There are some people that just can't think for themselves. Mindlessly following the leader is a characteristic of the people at Free Republic or so I thought...

than an Amen choir for Kerry rather than a discussion board.

7. Right..that's what I thought too...
we can't change anything by singing kerry's praises all the time, we've got to generate new ideas, catch problems and deal with them quickly...

25. no
its a discussion board and the democratic party is a big tent party which has many diverse opinions. It is one of the reasons Will Rogers said, "I don't belong to an organized political party--I'm a Democrat."

6. Because we don't like the idea of our party
turning into a circular firing squad. We can't afford another 4 years of Bush and continually taking pot-shots at our own guy only goes toward that end. That said, I read your original comment and I didn't think it was as bad as the people who call Kerry goddamn neocon and PNAC supporter.

9. Of course not, I was using that as a metaphor to describe
kerry's posturing. You talk about taking pot-shots, first of all that comment was not a pot shot, and secondly, what of the "pot-shots" skoooo, and generator, and snoggera, took at me? What about that solidarity? I watched them all totally contradict themselves in that thread.

8. Wow, singling people out is very constructive.

I can't respond right now because I'm at work. I don't think your approach is any better than what you're accusing other people of. Furthermore, I don't agree with your broad brush stroke. If you're on this evening then I can respond. Until then, don't use my name in your posts, please.

My response to you was "Pansiness? Excuse me?"

How is that a personal attack. You're here to disrupt, or you wouldn't be making such wild claims that I attacked you personally. Get a life.

15. people claim Kerry isn't doing things when he is
people complain about the ads bush put out there and say kerry isn't responding. he is responding. he just isn't relying on ads because he doesn't have the amount of money bush does to respond to every single ad. he has to limit the places and amount of ads he puts out. peopel seem to think he can just put out any ads he wants whenever he wants without worrying about money. he raised a lot of money, but it's still not nearly the amount of money bush has.

he has been on meet the press , gma, and he did great in both. he campaigns almost every single day going around the country. just because one doesn't see it in the media they watch or listen to doesn't mean it hasn't happened. there was a thread yesterday claiming kerry didn't do something when he did.

and because the complaints are just attacks on kerry and usually not true. it's never an idea for what or how kerry should do something such as an ad, or a line he can use. it's just complaining and saying kerry isn't doing anything and isn't fighting when it's not true.

27. Why is it wrong to argue with people who criticize Kerry?
It isn't wrong to criticize Kerry here, but Kerry is our one chance to beat Bush, and this is a place that wants to beat Bush very, very badly. So people will criticize you if you criticize Kerry.

Why do we get ten of these "I should be able to criticize who I want without anyone disagreeing" posts a day? Why do people come here, slam our candidate, and then complain when people disagree? We aren't Republicans, we don't have Free Speech zones. If you say something, people here get the right to tell you your an idiot.

Free Speech doesn't mean you don't get criticized for your speech, it means you can say it, and everyone else can tell you what they think about what you say.

That's FREE SPEECH, in its finest garb.

33. Good point... if you flamebate... expect to be flamed
It is the nature and cost of free speech. We have to right to say whatever we want to say, and everybody else has the right to agree or disagree and howl about it.

Why people don't get this, on both sides of the fence, is beyond my reason. But then, I'm not very good at understanding irrational behavior, of which, I'm guilty of from time to time.

32. Being called a freeper or "repuke" is against the rules.
Hit "alert" if there is name-calling or insinuating that you are not a Dem.

This must stop. It's not only not Democratic, it's against everything our Founding Fathers stood for.
