Howard Stern's ratings gets a big jump.
HOWARD STERN'S RADIO RATINGS UP AMID FCC FLAP
Federal regulators may have painted a big bull's eye on Howard Stern's back, but the recent government crackdown on indecency over the airwaves has proven a boon to the shock jock's ratings. The ribald radio host scored major gains in listenership during the winter quarter ended March 31 in the three biggest U.S. markets -- New York, Los Angeles and Chicago
(Reuters).

Looks like the decency police have just made Howard more popular than ever. Now's the time for him to BASH BUSH all the way to jihad.:)

4. AAR for me too but in Chicago area
I've been listening to Howard in the mornings when in the car. They're still broadcasting Randi's show. I'm not sure about Al Franken's show...I haven't been in the car during that time slot as yet.

I have to admit though...I was tuning in to Howard to see if he was going to push it too far and listen to him go down while blasting Bush. Yesterday he said that it's not any fun for him anymore and the first time the FCC fines him personally, he's leaving.

5. He does both...
He's still a pig of course! But, he gets articles every day about Bush and other crazy Republicans. This morning, he mentioned some idiot from Louisiana that wants to get people, particularly women, to be fined for wearing low cut jeans and he ripped him a new one. I have to find an article on this? What a waste of tax money! He shreds Little Powell all the time too.

6. word is stunting
Word on the street (God I hate that Cliche) is that he is stunting to get ratings and that a lot of this is contrived, ie not a real conversion.

Interesting to note that his ratings had been softening since at least his divorce. When you look at it, he never actually supported Bush Co. except for the war on terra. So, as a smart business man and a radio titan, he decided to go full bore against Bushco.

It didnt take a PhD to figure he'd get caught up in tittygate and fined. In fact, the earliest fines and Clear Channel firings were based on something racist a caller said, not something Howard said. Jeez, how hard would it be to put up a caller, on purpose to draw the foul?

All I know is they were doing backflips at Infinity last week when the ratings bonuses came out.

I'm not ungrateful for his support I am just saying lets temper our joy, it is probably just a Howard Stern stunt to cash in on the action. Remember its always easier to turn on someone who you never even supported.

When exactly is John Kerry scheduled to appear on the show?

Remember, all

8. Supported Gore
Stern supported and voted for Gore. He also laments about how much he misses Clinton. Regardless of Clinton's morality, Stern says he was a great president.

He gave Bush the benefit of the doubt, and supported him on the war in Afghanistan after 9-11. When Bush's cronies took aim at Stern, simultaneously with the lies about the WMD's in Iraq, the crappy economy, the stopping of stem cel research, etc. etc., Stern saw the light, and decided enough was enough.
