2. Rather than asking how much further Canadians...
are willing to fall on the 'friends' list, the idiot should ask, "how much further will Canadians allow themselves to be pushed down the list." You have to understand that it is never the fault of American incuriosity, ignorance, or intellectual laziness, Oh NO!
The author is an idiot, shun him!

3. I agree with Gatehouse
Many Canadians may hate to hear this, but we can be a whiny pain in the ass at times. We often bitch and complain, but never really offer many solutions.

We're only really relavant when it comes to many fringe issues. I want Canada to be better than that.

7. If we want to be better than that we have to stop toadying
That's why we're viewed as a pain in the ass...because we suck up and then throw the occasional "but hey what about this?" out there. It's sad, and makes us look pathetic.

8. I agree with you on that
We need to be more independent. We need more of our own true identity.

Whining, bitching and silly faux-patriotism is not enough.

5. Johnathon Gatehouse is a bush apologist from way back...
and.....surprise, surprise, he is a former employee of Conrad Black, he used to work at the National Post. Anything he has to say must be viewed through the fact that he is a faithful follower of Black's view of the world.
