The Pew Poll is out.......yawn! |
|
This is the AP story as presented in Yahoo News. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Bush's Approval Ratings Climb in April Mon Apr 26, 7:07 PM ET
By SAM HANANEL, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites)'s approval ratings have climbed during April despite growing instability in Iraq (news - web sites) and the deadliest month for U.S. forces there since the invasion last year. Bush's overall job approval rose to 48 percent, 5 percentage points higher than the rating he received in early April, according to a poll released Monday by the Pew Research Center for The People & The Press. Forty-three percent disapprove of Bush's job performance.
While the president's overall job score is up, 48 percent of Americans disapprove of the way he is dealing with Iraq, and just 36 percent think Bush has a clear plan for bringing the situation in Iraq to a successful conclusion. Those numbers are not markedly different from a similar survey conducted April 1-4. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
In as much as it is only one item where his numbers went up a little and the rest stayed where they were.....whats the freaking big deal? Bush is still Bush, playing in the Bush League.

1. And he's still under 50 percent |
|
That's what matters. 48 percent is not good, period.

2. Do we have some historical perspective with Pew polls? |
|
say where Clinton, Bush41, Reagan, Carter were in this stage of the election cycle?
A singular number like that really doesn't say anything to me.
