Classic Right wing argument |
|
Liberals argue with emotion. Conservatives with facts.
Riiight so that explains the fanatic born again Christians' viewpoint, it's all based on facts, like the world is only ten thousand years old or AIDs is a cure to homosexuality!
Any other thoughts on the ubsurdity of this argument that seems very prominant on clear thinking, fact based websites like Rightnation?

Conservatives argue with facts. Uh huh.
If they argue with facts, why is that the best argument they can muster against gay rights is that "it's an abomination to God."
How many times do they appeal to the bible to support their positions?

4. The concept here is "projection" |
|
Totalitarians often have this to provide them with a prefabricated victim mentality when in fact they are the oppressors
Think an SS Freeper Guard in 1943 kicking a Jew to death, "You (kick)...f*cking (kick)..Jew(kick). Stop (kick) oppressing me (kick kick) and taking over (kick) Germany (kick kick kick)."
Psychologically, there isn't much difference in that regard bvetween a Freeper and his spiritual antecedents.
Both also have in common "projection", which is the act of imprinting your own hateful traits upon an enemy group and asccusing them of what you accuise yourself of but don't have the balls to "think it aloud".
Karl Rove and Josef Goebbels would have a very lovely day of tea and crumpets and good conversation about propaganda, if they ever met each other.

7. It's in the same vein as |
|
Democrats use dirty underhand tactics to undermine Republicans like trying to find out if Bush was lying about being AWOL. Of course Republicans are not acting deviously by calling Kerry "French".

6. BS - here's some examples: |
|
The things have nothing to do with facts:
Religon The Flag Patriotism Economics (Various bogus propositions) Star Wars (Faith based weapon systems) Crime - fear of (often baseless) Guns Control (often based on bogus fear) School Prayer United Nations (black helicopters, etc)
