Medals & Media
I've been almost exclusively exposing myself to left wing media lately - since AAR. The topic that seems to be saturating our airwaves is the stink over Kerry & his medals/ribbons whatever.

Seeing as I don't watch TV news, and haven't seen much about it in print, my ONLY exposure to this story has come from AAR & DU. And if it's getting saturated there, is it safe to assume it's being saturated on CNN/FOX, etc? I can only imagine.

So I guess my question is this: Should we be making a stink about all the stink? I mean, if it's the non-issue it deserves to be, why spend so much time discussing it? Is it a good strategy to confront each ridiculous allegation like this head on - and risk repeating the lie, or should we be less "outraged" and more dismissive about crap like this?

I'm torn by it. But I think that if we're going to confront lies like this, we need to re-frame the discussion & not just respond to each allegation as it comes. If it's a lie, lets call it a lie, make an TRUE attack of our own and move on. Let them harp about piddly crap while we keep harping on WMD's, Plame, Cheney Energy Commission, etc. I think Kerry responded well - throwing it back to the Bush AWOL question. But if he had spent any more time on it, it would've been too much. So should we be hammering on about this issue, or working to put it to bed?
