OK, say things go well and we have President Kerry in Jan 05. Now what? What happens to the neocons? Do we just let them wait and regroup till 06 and 08 to purpotrate the same bullshit they do now? Do we just let them sit back and collect their war dividends?

My opinion is no, just getting Shrub out isn't enough. The neocons must be held accountable for the crimes they are commiting. Kerry can't just squeek by...he needs a mandate.

Congress and changing the face of the Supreme court. Then we need to get some hard to revoke ammendments in the Constitution to make sure no one like Bush ever becomes President again.

Of course nothing like this will happen because the Washington establishment is part of the problem and Kerry is one of them.

8. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems we need to change the way we

do elections and since this is kind of a constitutional issue, it seems an ammendment or two would be in order. I also think we need to delineate more clearly our reasons to go to war. Apparently raiding other countries for their mineral wealth was not what the founding fathers had in mind, so it needs to be made very clear under what circumstances we will go to war.

...in the world community, we will have to bring Bush and his team of thugs, incompetents, thieves, crackpot ideologues and relgious nutballs to justice. That means we will have to regain control of Congress and put pressure on the Justice Department to start to investigate and act.

(My guess is that the first 4 years after we rid ourselves of Bush will be devoted to finding out just how much they stole, and who stole it.)

Only by demonstrating to the world that the Bush gang was an aberration and not the norm for the US will we begin to mend a few fences and regain the trust of former friends. There are no shortcuts, and there is no other way.
