Up until the last ten years, politics, as nasty as it has gotten at times, as deep into the gutter it has sunk, still maintained at least a veneer of gentility.

No more.

In 1994, with Newt Gingrich as the standard bearer and under the total domination of the far-right, the Republican Party declared all-out war on not just the Democrats but any who would dare oppose their reactionary agenda.

There has yet to be a reply from the Democratic Party.

There has been no rallying of liberal and moderate forces to counter this campaign.

There has been no mass mobilization of resources to meet this threat.

Many liberal and progressive action groups have been fighting hard to beat those people, but nowhere near as much ground has been taken as it would have if there was effective organization.

The Democratic Party Establishment, too set in their ways, has yet to send out the muster call for soldiers to fight on the front.

It's time we MAKE THEM.

The Democratic Party leadership does not seem to understand that when you are locked in a fight to the death with a foe doing their level best to kill you, you MUST hit back ANY WAY YOU CAN!!!

We must MAKE Terry McAuffle listen to the base. We must MAKE John Kerry find his cajones and his spine and start calling a spade a spade. We must MAKE the DLC and the DNC learn that the ONLY WAY we will be able to win is by taking forceful, immediate, and decisive action. This is no time for waffling. This is no time for uncertainty.

This is war.

We stand at the crossroads where two choices meet: total victory, or total destruction. There is only one choice that can be made in such a situation.

The Right Wing has been at war with this country and all its great principles for ten yers.

Let's hit back!

I mean really, if you aren't already a member of the tinfoil hat club, why would you be willing to believe that both sides, left and right, are just puppets in a mmassive conspiracy.

It is, to put it bluntly, hopeless right now. I have my own life to deal with. I cannot stop what is happening right now. Even if the election goes "our way", we still lose. Kerry has already made too many comments about continuing the war.

I talk to people until I am blue in the face and most of them still stare at me blankly and say "It will never happen here".

Plus, you are one of the same deluded people who thinks we still *have* a choice. Bush stole the first election. This time, hey look here comes Kerry! He will save the day!! Maybe he will even win! (Actually, he most likely will, there seems to be a lot of people who want him - The puppetmasters will want to keep the sheep happy and avoid civil war)

So what? What will be the difference? What will have changed if we get a "Dem" in the WHite House? Nothing. The war goes on. Forever. As our masters want.
