6. I disagreed with him tonight.... |
|
He's been pretty fair recently but tonight he was wrong by saying that Kerry needs others to answer for him on this...and being testy was bad. Why didn't they bring up the fact that medals/ribbons are ALL THE SAME - even in the Naval Manual!!! Kerry has said that all along so where is the freaking flip flop?????

I totally disagreed that this attack in any way makes Kerry look bad for fighting back. "Testy?" He looks like the fighter we want him to be!!

8. Agree. You fight this one man to man(gender neutral of course).. |
|
... I like the way JFK is calling out Shrub, personally. You can let others swat the other distractions, but this is the dis-admin calling him out. You answer.

9. Used to be a commentator on McNeil Leher ... and an editor |

for one of the major news magazines (maybe US News and World Reports?). Moderate republican - but went to work for Clinton for several years. Tends to be a relatively fair commentator - including (at least he used to) acknowledging that his view came from a republican perspective (though in todays republican party - he might sound down right liberal on various issues.) I don't always agree with him - but I think he gives interesting assessments.

10. I believe he was a Reaganaut to start with. At least that's where I first |

became aware of him. I think he was the media liaison guy, or one of 'em. There were several. Baker, Lyn Nofziger, Michael Deaver, Ed Meece (sp?), a rogue's gallery, certainly. When he actually crossed the aisle to work for Clinton I figured he's probably just a gun-for-hire (or would that be - a whore for hire?). Especially since his glory days with Reagan are long gone.
Who's side is he on NOW?

14. Yes...and do you remember him saying Poppy would go down because |

he was "out of touch" with the American people. I still remember that. He was correct. Before anyone else would say it, he saw it.

Certainly far too conservative for my taste but he tried to kep an open mind and I tried to respect him for that.

13. One of the brightest minds in the business. Although he's a Repug, he's |

more a Kevin Phillips Repug than a Pat Buchanan type. He has great insight into politics and is more often correct than any other commentator I've heard.
I have to say though, that as much as I admire him, he has been a little "off and on" lately.
Still, I wouldn't count out what he says. He's someone who often observes what others don't and it comes true. He was saying that the Chimp was in deep trouble after his "Press Conference." Said too much was coming out about the Chimp and he was getting hit hard. Said at this point in his Presidency (Residency) it could only hurt him down the road.
I didn't see him tonight, so I can't comment. But, when Clinton was in trouble early on after Hillary's Health Care plan got so much trouble from the RWingers they brought Gergen in. He didn't stay long, but who knows what he did for them. Clinton did win two terms.
I like him and trust him, but as I said he's been a little "off and on" lately.
On Edit: He said the Chimp didn't have a "vision" for America that Americans could identify with. That's certainly true. That's why he thought there was trouble down the road. I assume he wasn't talking about the Freepers because Chimp really has their vision down to exactly what they want in a President.
