Anyone had this scary thought outside my psychotic cerebrum, |
|
that is?
Okay, so Momuhar Khadafii is playing ball. They are actively courting new investments in their oil infrastructure. The BushCo gang leaps at this chance... Mediterian oil is thousands of miles closer than Indian Ocean oil.
The investments are made, MK and * and Cheney's friends get rich, the Libyan oil infrastructure is modernized by the good old schmucks in the USA (that would be us, buying gasoline and paying taxes) then good old MK can nationalize the oil industry, stage a fake "coup" and submerge back into the underground for another 30 years or so.
I don't trust them. I will be keeping an eye out for ANY tax dollars that go to upgrading existing oil infrastructure or building new in Congress, and I hope some of you will too.

1. The money being gouged out of citizens for gas now |
|
is the same as when * was selected.
Then, they had to recoup their investment.
Now, they only have to rake in the wealth and spread it to their candidates prior to the election.
It's simple.
On topic: Libya has been courted behind the scenes, and threatened with various increased sanctions for many years. It is now playing out.
Don't focus on the Saudi's anymore - this is correct. They are increasingly becoming smaller players in the regional game.

... where "Bush" and "oil-rich country" are used in the same sentence. If there's one thing MK can do, it's make long-term plans. And I don't believe he would suddenly be all buddy-buddy without a really compelling reason. I'm not buying Bush's line of "we scared him into a being a good boy". BushCo can be mind-blowingly naive where oil money is concerned. (Or are they ... when they know they won't have to pay the price, in dollars or lives.)
And we know that BushCo have some VERY odd friends, and always have had. Far more than those of us here who've been looked at askance by the authorities for being subversives, i.e. going to an anti-war protest, or wearing a "Moron" T-shirt.
Unlike some people in the administration, I've never met Saddam Hussein, and I bet you haven't either, WJMS!
This whole thing reminds me of the Victorian era, or the Middle Ages, when the kings of opposing countries had more in common with each other than they did with their own populace.

3. No, can't say I have met Saddam... I am not even sure I see |
|
him on TV, to be honest with you. I did smell Pol Pot's shit one time. He did not even have time to wipe. We were that close to catching that little shit and I would have loved to see what 230gr of Pb at 950fps would have done to his pointy evil little head.
So it goes.
