BBV suggestion . . can somone sue to have the 2002 exit polling . . .
results released on a race-by-race basis? . . . if memory serves me right (thanks to chairman Kaga), the decision not to release exit polling results in 2002 was a last-minute one . . . and the only conceiveable reason for this decision would be that, at least in some races, the poll results were so far at variance with election results as to be embarassing . . . there can only be two reasons for something like this to have happened: 1) the polling methodolgy just didn't work, or 2) the election results were fixed . . . given that exit polling had proven remarkably accurate over many years and many elections, the most logical assumption as to what went wrong would be #2, i.e. some elections were fixed . . .

I, for one, would dearly love to know just how many elections were actually stolen in 2002 . . . I would urge some group -- People for the American Way, or whomever -- to consider filing a lawsuit to compel the release of ALL exit polling results so that we, the American people, can see for ourselves where the problems were and just how much the reported results varied from the polling results . . .

1. I, for one will volunteer my time
I'm voting absentee anyway!

The last-minute cancellation of exit polling in 2002 should have made anyone with half a brain say 'Huh?'. Exit polling is quite accurate...but there was that pesky Gore/Florida exit polling problem........the polls showed Gore WINNING.

Can't have that kind of mistake again, can we?

2. What exit polling?
IIRC, VNS was sold to......THE SAUDI's.....and then disbanded!

If we want exit polling this election we have to do it ourselves. :evilfrown:

5. Sorry! Correction, VNS was simply disbanded.....
.....It was Vote.com that was the company chosen to handle all of our military offshore voting via the Internet that had a 51.6 % controlling interest bought by a Saudi company. The plan to have our military vote via the 'net this year has been scrapped for now.

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused. :(

3. I think this is happening
I'll have to look it up, but I think there are groups like ACLU that are currently winding their way through court proceedings to have the information released...

Tonights Ingredient: Elephant!

Did you see Morimoto-san last weekend? Someone's been taste testing a bit much...
