John Kerry is the key to saving America. |
|
We will not make progress in saving this nation unless we defeat George Bush. Defeating him will only be the beginning, but it is an important first step. I have been busy all day, but from what I can tell, Kerry has been doing what I think he should be doing given recent events: Fighting back. Kerry needs to get Bush on the defensive. He needs to take Bush to task for his stint in the Guard, he needs to take Bush to task for his incompetence in the War in Iraq. He needs to drive home that we have lost jobs due to the incompetence of our so-called leader. He needs to drive home that we are less safe because of Bush and not more. He needs to drive home that the single biggest security failure since the civil war happened under Bush's watch. He needs to drive home that we would be better off with a real leader.

Kerry has already won, but not if Diebold can help it.

2. While I think your point is correct, I would also like to point out that.. |
|
"We are John Kerry's key to saving America." John Kerry will make an excellent president, but not because he is a good guy. He will do it because we will show (and have been showing) that the Democratic Party supports him and the CORRECT policies, as opposed to those that are supported by the Republicans.
He has been moving to the offensive on the military experience issue, and will do so on others because of people like the good DUer's here who have taken time to express their opinions about these issues. Kerry needs to see that we will back him on the things that the RW would like to label as "loony left" issues (pretty much anything left of Bush*). He needs to know that, come November, we will be at the polls IN STRENGTH to show our support.
There are those on this forum who disagree with Kerry on various issues, and I must admit I don't agree with everything he says. But the point is this: with Kerry, we have a chance of being heard. With Bush*, we are nothing - less than nothing - a nuisance to be corralled in 'free speech zones' or eliminated from the media.
Thanks for posting this, coloradodem2004.

You are absolutely right. John Kerry is not going to be able to do a thing to reverse our present course unless WE get behind him on the right things and hold his feet to the fire on the issues he's less concerned about. With a split Congress (at best) and a divided electorate, it's going to take every ounce of support from us and character from him.

5. Why don't you donate to DU today? |

It would be a positive thing for this great online community, and we might also then take your flippant negativity more seriously. . .

6. I agree completely, and consider that a sad state of affairs |

The man simply is not going on the attack. He's allowed Rove to define him and it's too late to redefine himself.
I'm sorry to say, I agree with you completely.
