Anybody catch Buchanen and the neocon radio host
On MSNBC(?)news last night?

The talk was about conservatives being dissillusioned with the Bush administration....I know Pat Buchanen is rather, well.....but he really laid it on the line last night.....he is hollaring that the US is a republic, is NOT an empire, should NOT act like an empire, should of NEVER gone into Iraq in the first place. He also stated that Kerry would gain allot of support from center conservatives if he worked out a viable course to GET THE TROOPS HOME NOW. Right now Kerry's plan of bringing in the UN, and staying there is not diverse enough from Bush's. As Bush is sort of trying to make it look like that is exactly what he is doing.
And the neocon....hehehe, he is stammering 911, 911, 911 and needing to go into Iraq, and at that point the newsanchor says, "But you are mixing it all up, the Iraq war and the war on terror".
The neocon starts to hollar, "they are both the same war! Saddam was an bad bad man who could of given wmd to terrorists, he supported terrorism, and we had to go in to remove the threat.
Buchanen jumps into the fray, " Saddam was absolutely no threat to the nation. We had thousands of intellignece gathering flights over Iraq. THERE ARE NO WMD. Saddam was nothing and this war is totally wrong and I sure wish John Kerry would take that stand. He would gain allot of dissillusioned conservatives. "

I work with a former Pat supporter. He too is saddened and appalled at Bushco's doings and will not support them in November.

2. if you are against this unjust war
Then vote for Ralph Nader.

I was in the ABB camp, but I guess I always thought the nominee would be Dean. I supported Kucinich. The Democratic Party has turned its back on its progressive base once again, and I can't support a pro-Iraqi War, pro-NAFTA, pro-Patriot Act, pro-corporate (more so than Bush, maybe) candidate just becuase it says "Democrat" under his name. I would vote for Buchanan over Kerry.

5. Oh, I see... your team doesn't win....
so you take your toys and go home?

I will not be reluctant to say that ANY vote for Nader is a vote FOR BUSH....
If Nader (as an independent or a Green) wants to prove anything to me then... win more city council slots , some State Leg seats, move on to seats in Congress... Hell, maybe even a Governor's mansion.

Until then..... CYA and vote DEM

6. You can vote for Nader and we will have a Bush win.
If you are happy with Bush, vote for Nader. Democrats might not have the perfect candidate, but he sure is a lot better than what we have. I was a Dean supporter but I will support Kerry if he is the nominee.

7. If Chimpy gets back in...
You will be hoisted on the petard of your flawed principles. The sad thing is that you will have done your part to take the country with you.

Right now, there are 9.8 million unemployed people in this country. People over 65 are going to lose their medical coverage and be thrown into a Medicare system designed to rip them off to the grave and beyond. Jobs are fleeing this country, in a big part because the medical insurance/HMO system has become an unsustainable expense for corporations. The numbers of people who work every day, but still live below the poverty level grow by leaps and bounds. Your rights, as a citizen, are under sustained assault. 911 is being gamed for political advantage. The Anthrax Killer is still free, and will presumably remain so, his job done. The environment. Women's reproductive rights. The danger of Theocracy.

And yes, there is Iraq.

The above only scratches the surface.

What will Chimpy do about this? Continue. What will Ralph do about this? Nothing. He won't be elected. Hasn't a snowball's chance in hell to do anything but put Chimpy back in The Oval Office.

But you will be able to console yourself with your principles. What of the rest of the country? What will we be able to console ourselves with, as we slip farther into a facist, feudalistic state?

What then is our consolation? Certainly not your principles. Certainly not. And certainly not Ralph.

10. Voting isn't some effort to purify your soul.
The race isn't between Buchanan and Kerry, or beetween Nader and Kerry either. If you don't vote for Kerry it just means another vote for the Idiot Boy King.

3. Buchannan has a vile disgust with Bush Corp,
I've heard him speak often, and every time he doesn't hide his loathing. george has betrayed the true republican party.
More power to ya Pat.

8. I wish Kerry would do that too
my feeling is that a majority of us here CRINGE at Kerry's avoidance of the bring em home issue.

He is a veteran, so he is ENTITLED to call for retreat, whereas Chimp doesn't have a shred of credibility--he's still proving himself to papa.

9. Strange I never say this rabid Kucinich supporter here before,
since I have been working and advocating for DK here for months before Kucinich was ever known.

But Pat is WRONG. Kerry taking a more progressive stance won't bring any moderate conservatives over to the Dems. The MOST they would do is not vote for President. But that works, for me!!

Kerry is wrong not to say Bush lied, and we've got to let the Iraqis have all their privatized industries back that Bushites have stolen, and get the UN in there, IN CHARGE, and there not be ONE American left there or one contract to an American company. NO American bases.
