They had a college prof. on who was talking about how Negroponte has the people skills, the right attitude, etc.!? Um, dudes? Hello? And then talking about how he doesn't have a lot of experience in post-conflict situations (which this isn't, really, is it?) and how the middle east isn't really his area of expertise, but he's really a good people person, etc., etc, and hopefully the right person for the job. Would this guy listen to himself? The only qualification he has is that he's nice, he's never handled a situation like this before, isn't knowledgeable about the area, but we'll just see how it works?? WTF! Will go try to find a transcript, no link yet, sorry...
Ok, forgot to add that he was saying about how Negroponte had the experience working with the UN on Iraq, will bring them in to help, etc. WFT again!?!?! We walk all over the UN, yeah, that's 'working with them'.
Also, seems NPR wants to physically mail you transcripts... anyone have a better link?
