Please explain to me why John Kerry... |
|
Please explain to me why John Kerry is pronouncing Bush's economic policy a failure.
This is misleading and covers the ugly facts of the situation. Bush's economic policies are succeeding marvelously -- that is, they are doing precisely what they are designed to do. They are gutting this country's middle class; eliminating manufacturing, destroying the power of unions, creating an underclass of wage slaves to run the new franchise service economy intended to serve the international corporate overclass.
Why doesn't Kerry get up there and explain to America where Bush wants to take us? Scolding the Bush administration about failing to fix the "job problem" is completely wrong. The "job problem" is a side-effect of the PNAC American reconstruction. Americans are tough. So, let's hear the truth so we can deal with it.

4. if those of us who are open here to the message don't hear it.... |
|
then how the hell is the rest of the country supposed to hear it??
If Kerry says it loud enough & clear enough & often enough...sooner or later the media WILL pick it up.
I think Kerry needs to cleary define who he is and where his vision for America lies. It is time for him to do that.
I watched the press disappear DK....but the man sticks to the trith and people are beginning to hear him. I wish John Kerry would do the same...and if he is, then I hope its getting out.
This campaign so far reminds me of Gore's....not a good sign IMHO.
Peace DR

The media are run by that same corporate overclass that Bush is serving so well. They won't let the message go out with out severely distorting and undermining it.

Bush's economic policies are NOT succeeding marvelously.
His spending stimulated the economy and got it moving again, but the cost has been almost two trillion dollars in debt. It doesn't take much to get the economy moving if you're willing to bankrupt the nation down the road.

He needs the appearance of an economic recovery to get re-elected. But basically, the breakdown of the "old" economy remains part of what's needed to achieve the death-grip they ultimately hope to apply to this country.

I'm not much for conspiracies. IMO, Bush just did the politically expediant thing and spent money out the wazoo. By passing tax cuts at the same time, it LOOKS as though his cuts made the economy move but it was really the spending.
Back in 2000, we had warehouses full of goods and no buyers, particularly commercial buyers. But the US Government is the biggest consumer in the world and a war needs LOTS of goods from cannons to paper clips.
Bush knows that and he knows that the general public doesn't care about a "national debt" because they don't realize the impact of one. It was a great political move if you don't care what happens after you're out of office.

7. That's WAY too nuanced! |
|
It's exactly right, but no way the American people will believe their President, or the Republican Party, actually wants to make life shittier for working people. The only way to go is the way he's going. Bush is a failure and stubbornly sticks to policies that create that failure.
