Billboard in Oklahoma
Last week someone mentioned this billboard on the Turner Turnpike near Bristow,OK.

As promised, I stopped and snapped a pic of it on the way to work today. It is very inspiring to drive by and see this in the middle of Konservativ Kountry.

4. This is in a farmer's field

....someone going in to vandalize it would be putting their ass in jeopardy. It would be a good way to get it shot full of rock salt.

5. There is a real disconnect
..between what the polls are telling us about LIAR's approval ratings and what we're hearing all around us. The polls are obviously being diddled, probably to prepare us for getting Diebolded in November.

I love to see stuff like this. I think we all need to go public with signs and stickers wherever we can, just to keep people aware that they are not alone, they're not going crazy, and that the majority is with them.

9. I do, too.
The more Kerry or anti-bush signs and stickers that are out there, the more usual and expectable it will be to be for Kerry.

Seems like even people who are staunch Republicans might be a little chagrined to put Bush/Cheney stickers on their cars this year. How embarrassing!

I got my Kerry bumper stickers last week, and they are on our rear windows now.

6. My gynecologist here in Texas is from South Africa
and I really like him a lot.

However, since he's white and was from South Africa, I've never wanted to delve into his politics.

Yesterday at my annual checkup, the subject of getting prescriptions from Canada came up, and he went off on the Bush administration big time.

It was fun talking to him about DU and Air America, and he'd been to see Al Franken when he was in town and Ira Glass, and so forth.

He's not a convert like we love to talk about here, but he sure adds to my tally of not being able to find more than a handful of people who can even tolerate the current administration.

7. don't jump to conclusions,
There are lots of white South Africans, especially of English and German heritage who were none too sad to see the end of apartheid.
