1. thanks for the heads up
Chris Matthews has been much less to the right, perhaps even leaning slightly more pro-dem than repub as of late. I guess he sort of went along with the Imus establishment

3. I dunno, I'm a Stern fan and I dispise Imus
he's a completely worthless racist Human Being who rents his show out to the elite political and media establishment to sell themselves.

However I am happy that Imus is supporting Kerry.

Tweety bought up Cheney's deferments, and I thought he was going to faint.

Is that your prediction for November.
Maher says vanilla paint.
Cynical president. Plays on people's fears and ignorance.

13. Maher compared bush to Baghdad Bob
Saddam's press secretary who went on Iraqi TV and claimed they were winning despite bombs falling in the background.

He called bush "Washington Bob".

Maher said * was drunk until he was 40!! Isn't that a mistake??

LOL

19. And he had a count for the 7th anniversary of Hardball (thousands
of interrupted interviewees, rephrasing of points of view, etc.)
It was great!

Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 06:58 PM by VolcanoJen
I'm delayed, thanks to Tivo, but the TweetyLove is getting a little tired.

I can't believe I've been watching this screaming yellow-haired jerky for SEVEN YEARS. I mourn the lost time. I really, really do.

26. YES, they did!!!! I finally got that far!
Bill Maher was stunning. He laid it out there, criticized Tweety and the media for covering this "non-story medals story" to begin with, reminded America that Chimpy was drunk until 40 and does not consider that to be a mistake, and renamed Bush "Washington Bob."

PRICELESS!!! Glad I stuck it out through the Tweety LoveFest. :D

21. Maher was great
He not only said Tweety was an ass for covering the medals story, he also said, in response to chimpy's assertion that he hadn't made a mistake, "he was drunk for the first 40 years of his life. Isn't that a mistake?"

Called chimp Washington Bob. Very funny stuff. He had Tweety in stitches.

Had to record it, love the way Bill's face snapped back into this incredulous look, and he sure cracked up Tweety, too! Yuppers, there's ONE mistake Bushie made!

25. OMG--just thought of something. Kerry should put forth another
challenge: ask Bush how sober he was for 40 years and compare it to how sober he was even after seeing war.

27. I missed it and I can't wait to see the replay at 10
I always read the Hardball segment from a thread here and brace myself for what may be happening. This one looks like it will be good, however, I can't take much of Ed the chipmonk. He grates on my nerves. What a whiner.

30. EXCELLENT
thanks for the heads up. Saw it and Maher was awesome. I never missed PI and was pissed when he was cancelled. Can't afford HBO so I have to catch him when I can. I was so pissed when he voted for Nader in 2000 but it looks like he's learned a few since then:)

I like the line, "you don't have to sleep with him, just vote for him." Classic line...
