Chimps worst week ever. What will Terry, Pelosi and Daschle do? |
|
1)The medals fiasco blew up in his face, big time. 2)Iraq is getting wore every day (this one is tragic for everyone, not just him, sadly) 3)The supreme court arguments further exposed his fascist streak. 4)He hits his lowest poll numbers ever, including 41 percent for the "wartime" in his wartime presidency. 5)Dick's Ventriloquism Show is the fodder of ridicule. 6)Kerry knocks the ball out of the park on three major shows, in contrast to Chimp's press conference babbling. 7)Wilson's going to out the VP's right hand man, or if there is a God, Rove as a felon.
Will Daschle actually go on TV, or is he still afraid of losing votes in SD? Will Nancy put out another press release that she's "preparing" to go after chimp? Will we see the DNC Chair as much as we see Mr. Ed?
I hate to harp on this, but i feel like Kerry is having to do all the heavy lifting himself, while Chimp seems to have his professional liars in three places at once.

1. 8. Wes Clark went on at least 3 shows since last Thursday AND |
|
wrote a NYT op-ed, all in defense of Kerry and bashing Bush on Iraq.
That's some pretty heavy lifting, I'd say....

3. Clark's op-ed piece was very good |
|
plus the senator from NJ really showed Cheney for the chicken hawk he is.
McCain asked that there be a truce between the Dems & Repubs. He wants both parties to agree that both Bush and Kerry served honorably in Viet Nam. My husband and I both screamed at the TV, "But their service was NOT the same."

4. Pelosi had a good zinger. |
|
Someone please find it for me, I'm so tired, trying to move AGAIN.
Lautenburg stomped on Cheney, by implication everyone will now look at the chimp's military stuff with a more jaundiced eye.
Bryd was masterful, as usual.Lambasted Bush depredations of the Constitution.

6. Assuming Kerry wins, I hope he calls in all the Democrats into |
|
the WH and starts laying the groundwork to take it to the Republicans. We need tough new leadership in Congress and I think this will be one of Kerry's 1st priorities.
I also believe he's going to win big and the bully pulpit of this election mandate should give him the ability to roll back the regressive and warped agenda of the Republicans. He'll be plenty willing to investigate/expose the rampant government corruption and drive a domestic/international policy vision that will repudiate the 4 lost years of Bush Republicanism.

Specter won his primary, if the ultra-conservative had won it would have been a lot worse for the republicans chances in Pennsylvania.
But yea, a bad week for Bush, and will get worse in all likelihood.
