Please help--Can you give me a list of the "swing states?"
The Am. Council of Churches placed an anti-Bush ad in the NYT attacking the "Clean Air" policy. I suggested that they would be better off placing ads like that is swing states rather than in NY, which is likely to be strongly Kerry, & my wife wanted to send an email suggesting this to them. I need a list of the states seen as close and crigical in the 2004 election for her to include in her email, and I'm sure somebody here would have it. Please help.

I think its going to be close, and shouldn't be taken for granted.

4. Ihad already added NM & threw in PA, which seems
like at least a possibility in 2004. How about MO?

5. Ohio is the MOST important state in this election!
Kerry wins if he gets Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He doesn't need Florida, but it would be a back breaker to Bush* if Kerry wins there.

8. Really depends on where you draw the line
The candidates are spending money in 17 or 18 states, which is close to states that were within 6% in 2000.

But the really important states are the ones that were even closer balanced with how many electoral votes they have.

I/we have a page here with thinking about that, and some facts/maps.
