Is CNN always like this?
I don't have cable and rarely watch any TV, let alone CNN, but tonight I was having a libation in my local watering hole and CNN was on the tube. I sat there for about half an hour and the topic for the whole time was psychic crime solving. Earnest talking heads seemed (the sound was off) to be having a rational discussion while showing grainy videos of crime scenes and other videos of some fraud placing their hands on a photo, I assume to contact the spirit of a crime victim. What a bunch of hooey - do they also earnestly report on Elvis sightings or alien abductions? Do they do this kind of shit all the time? It was like the TV version of National Enquirer. How can anybody take them seriously? Sending them flame e-mails regarding their biased polls probably just warms their little hearts - somebody is watching so they can justify their ad rates.

1. Yes...its like the national enquirer now..

Cable news is about 70% celebrity gossip, and the other 30% is vapid spinning by the likes of Bill Schneider to make Bush look like God.

Ignore it. Cancel your cable if you can.

3. If I cancelled my cable, I wouldn't see Bill Maher's excellent program
on HBO...one of the best shows on TV.

5. Depends on the network.
You see, if you're watching CNN, you'll learn that the release the latest Matrix film is the most important thing happening in the world. If it's Fox, you might get a break from Bush cheerleading and patriotic graphics to find out the news on the latest Star Wars movie. Or you could tune in MSNBC and get a tidbit of info in between the Microsoft and GE ads.

2. Yes, CNN is fluff
except for the Capital Gang, which of course comes on Saturday afternoon/evening to make sure no one is watching.

4. That was larry king's show...
He was off and they had that former Court TV person Nancy Grace filling in. That's why the garbage hour. Larry King usually sucks too, although sometimes he gets it right. He had Richard Clarke on, and Bob Woodward...and he lets 'em say pretty much what they want. Pisses the repukes off no end.:D

6. Well they certainly don't want to report on the Truth---
that would be too much trouble.

7. They have completely ignored the military torture scandal!
Have you folks seen this incredible story yet?

Graphic photographs showing the torture and sexual abuse of Iraqi prisoners in a US-run prison outside Baghdad emerged yesterday from a military inquiry which has left six soldiers facing a possible court martial and a general under investigation.
The scandal has also brought to light the growing and largely unregulated role of private contractors in the interrogation of detainees.

According to lawyers for some of the soldiers, they claimed to be acting in part under the instruction of mercenary interrogators hired by the Pentagon.

These guys get paid $1500.00 a day of taxpayers money to TORTURE the Iraqis????

THIS HAS GOT TO END!!!
