well...the American people think it's important that we get to hear what you and Dick have to say George...
He says that they have nothing to hide...well...if you have nothing to hide...then answer the questions IN THE PUBLIC EYE...with a transcript...under oath...

The fact is George...you do have something to hide...you dropped the ball and three thousand + people are dead because of it...

2. my theory:

my theory is that bush/cheney flat out failed to respond to any meaningful questions. e.g.:

q: "why did you not return immediately to washington on hearing 'america is under attack'?"

a: "we feel the the intelligence organizations need further legislation to increase surveillance and provide more tools to protect us from terrorism."

total non-responses. this is exactly the kind of stunt that you can pull off behind closed doors. only the democrats on the committee would complain, and then the reich can accuse them of being partisan or even of lying.

it's a travesty that the commission agreed to this arrangement.

3. If he had nothing to hide

He would have never raised the issue of having anything to hide. He's the fucking president, it should be a given.

It's the equivalent of walking innocently into your kids room and without provocation they loudly proclaim that they weren't doing anything. Yeah OK. Time to investigate.

5. he tried to stop this committee & blocked ALL efforts to begin

the investigation. if he DIDN'T have something to hide, he would've given testimony UNDER OATH. and OUT IN THE OPEN. and RECORDED.
