C****** Presided Over Largest Defense Cuts in History!
NO! Not Bill Clinton. It was Dick Cheney!!

...

Cheney pared defense while Pentagon chief
THE BOSTON GLOBE
April 29, 2004

WASHINGTON – Vice President Dick Cheney, who has been charging that John Kerry would be a dangerous president because he opposed many key weapons that the military now relies on, himself presided over the biggest cutbacks in defense programs in modern history when he was secretary of defense under the first President Bush.

As Pentagon chief from 1989 to 1993 Cheney canceled or cut back many of the same weapons programs – bombers, fighter planes, battle tanks – that he says Kerry tried to deprive the armed forces of.

1. Yep! And read GHWB's SOTU during those years
He lists specifically what is going to be cut...with the exception of SDI, it's the exact same list they're now blaming Kerry for.

It's fucking amazing isn't it? Of course they KNOW that the faithful will NEVER bother to check it out to learn the whole story.

3. Hypocritical bastards
Kerry should use this any time someone asks him. Just say, "I voted for the same cuts that Dick Cheney proposed or supported."

4. YES! Why doesn't he?
Guess I'll e-mail this to his campaign...it's odd to me why Kerry and other Dems don't USE the ammo they've got at their fingertips sometimes. Just in case Kerry's campaign hasn't seen this though...

"Oh, so you dems want to increase the military budget now? Great! Bush is proposing a 5 jillion dollar increase next year...The Republicans are unanimous in 'supporting our troops'. Lets see if you keep your word, or if you libs are still weak on defense."
