* is handing over Fallujah to a former top Saddam general???
I read this on Yahoo news front page. The move is apparently being done as a last ditch desperate attempt to stop Fallujah from totally spiraling out of control. Seems like most of the Fallujahs love the idea, but what about political fallout for *? I can't imagine even the dullest knuckle dragger supporting giving back part of Iraq to the Republican Guard.

3. I won't be surprised if the Republic Guard gets back in power.
At the very least Saddam will be "pardoned" and exiled to Switzerland. There he can enjoy all his ill gotten euros. The *ies are the most evil AND incompetent administration in the history of our country.

4. Why not?

After Desert Storm, when Bush 41 called for Saddam's overthrow, he didn't mean by popular uprisings (he let Saddam's gunships mow those down quickly enough), he was fishing for a coup: another Saddam was ok as long as he didn't have the bad press.

What surprises you about *& Co. "finishing the job"?

5. Nothing they do surprises me,
unless it will hurt them politically. I can only imagine how desperate they are to do something which will clearly result in very bad p.r.

6. Even Lamb (C-Span) asked "How in the world are we handing
over the control of Falluja to a Saddam general?" The question was asked of a NYT correspondent.
The NYT correspondent said "not all of them were bad."
My gosh, the NYT is liberal?
