It might not make a difference, but it made me feel good...
I got one of those Bush/Cheney campaign fund raiser letters in the mail this week. (What a laugh !) I know it won't make much difference, but I sent the return envelope back to them empty ! HaHaHa !

If all 43,663 of us DUers would do the same, it would cost their campaign $16,155.31 in postage on the return maling. Just seal the envelope with nothing inside and stick it in the mail. (Remember, don't put a stamp on it). The return postage is paid by the Bush/Cheney campign.

People have been doing this to senders of junk mail for years, just to stick it to them a little and make it less profitable for them to continue sending this garbage out.

2. When I get "those" letters
I find recycled or junk paper, and stuff it in the envelope before I mail it back...

3. Do what you want...

Just be advised that direct-mail marketers have been known to report people to the Postmaster who abuse postage-paid envelopes in such a way.

5. How would they know where it came from
Edited on Fri Apr-30-04 08:44 AM by WVhill
if you make sure none of the stuff you send back has your name on it? Might want to include some Kerry campaign material. I'd bet money the Republicans "outsourced" the envelope opening. Might just get some votes for Kerry.

At worse you might really piss someone off that needs to be pissed off.

6. How would they know who it came from?
When you send the postage paid envelope back to them all you have to do is put the same mailing address it's going to in the return address space and no one would even know who it was coming from.

7. Yeah, the envelope
I sent back really didn't even have a space for a return address. The portion of the envelope where you normaly write in your return address had a statement printed that said

" Your stamp is an additional gift !"

Yeah right, here's my gift ! Up yours a**holes !

4. Wrap a brick and tape the letter to it.
Make certain you do it neatly, as if it were professionally done.

Nixon got tons of those in 1971, including one from li'l ol' me.

11. Yeah, it's an old Abbie Hoffman/SDS trick.
We must have mailed hundreds of them from Ann Arbor. The rePukes of the day must have figured: upscale Univeristy, Future rePukes.

WRONG.

12. And it's heavier, too....
...but harder to get into a mailbox these days.

As it is I bet you could fit some of thes brick facias into your standard mailbox.

Just a suggestion.
