My Greatest Fear............. |
|
is that we will never ever learn the truth about 911. After reading the post about a Clinton operative saying we should stay clear of insinuating that the Bush administration was in any way responsible, I get the feeling that this is bigger than just this administration. Why aren't there outcries about what is going on? Why does Clinton not defend himself when being accused by the attack dogs holding him responsible for 911? What did he say in his meeting with the 911 commissioners? I sure would like to know. Did he defend Bush? i wouldn't be surprised.
The greatest single crime in the history of the United States, and it seems that no-one really wants to find out how and why it happened. And most of all, how to keep it from happening again. How can you properly fix something, when you don't even know what was broken?
I just don't get it. But I do think there is a coverup going on, but I don't think is begins and ends with this administration.

1. I think Clinton learned a long time ago ... |
|
that there's no point in trying to defend yourself from the right wing attack dogs. Once you start playing their game they have you right where they want you.

I'm sure there is.
I would be surprised to find out what really is going on. There is more out in the public than I expected.

and the truth will come out in 40 years and everyone will ignore it and keep supporting crazy-assed conservatives anyway.

4. If the truth were known... |
|
...the people of America would not simply lose faith in the * Administration or the GOP, they would lose faith in their government and their very system. And no part of the establishment, including the Democrats, wants that -- because it would practically mean the end of the mass illusion of "government is we the people". No future administration would ever be trusted with anything, unless the whole system were to crumble and we started over as a country.
If we ever do find out the truth, it won't come from anybody in the halls of power.

5. I agree with your sentiments, although I bet the GREATEST fear is |
|
W winning this election. That's mine, and the secondary is that the rethuglicans maintain control of the govt regardless of who's president.
Even if we found out all the truth about 9/11, not everybody would believe it or do anything about it.
